What inspired you to produce your own TV series?

In 1984 I read an article in the IJ about community television programming starting up and I wanted to be part of it.
What is your favorite part of TV production?

Actually doing the show. It is a challenge to get four programs in and figuring out how to "edit on my feet."

What is your least favorite part?

No least favorite part, the whole of it is a pleasure.
What advice would you give a new CMCM member who wants to produce a Marin TV series?

In my view and experience, trying to do too much, be too clever, wanting to be too elaborate and therefore creating a whole lot of work is the usual trouble. Start simply, develop something that is sustainable and can be accomplished without becoming slaves to the process.
What was your favorite TV show growing up?

Cecil the Sea-sick Sea Serpent.
What is your favorite TV show now?

NBC evening national news at 5:30pm with Brian Williams. Next is Gunsmoke with James Arnaz
When you’re not wearing your CMCM “producer” hat, what do you for fun?

Two areas, being the pastor of Miller Avenue Church in Mill Valley, now in my 31st year and publishing books, writing them, marketing them, and all that goes with it.
