| "From Story To Script" with Yoel Iskindir | Wednesday, December 3rd (6:30 - 8:30 PM): Learn the basics of developing a script to match your story. Translate your ideas into a proper screenplay format. Yoel Iskindir is a seasoned video producer and storyteller with over a decade of experience crafting visually compelling and engaging content for brands, educational institutions, and community initiatives. His expertise spans directing, editing, cinematography, and post-production, with advanced proficiency in industry-leading tools such as the Adobe Creative Suite. In addition to his production work, Yoel has a strong background in education. |

"Smartphone Productions" with Michael Bouyer | Thursday, December 4th (6:30 - 8:30 PM): If you are interested in creating media content, with the right training, and a few simple accessories, you can enter the production field using the phone you carry in your pocket! Michael started his Media Productions business in 1980 he produced advertising photography, radio productions, and advertising copywriting services, throughout the San Francisco/San Jose peninsula. After 44 years in the Media Productions industry, Michael is developing Media Productions teams, training them on all aspects of Media Productions, including LIVE Streaming Productions (see www.intelestreamtv.com for future details). |

"Story & Structure" with Andrew Small | Wednesday, December 10th (5:30 - 8:30 PM): Learn the skills for writing a feature film from an experienced screenwriter and, in turn, adapt those skills into writing a short film! Andrew will be showing a two-hour film 'Witness' prior to discussing film theme and classic three-act screenwriting structure. Please arrive earlier for the workshop. A former award-winning sportswriter with the Marin Independent Journal, Andrew Small is a graduate of Vancouver (B.C.) Film School and the author of several short films and feature-length screenplays. He is currently in development / pre-production on two of his feature scripts. He is also in the process of writing a memoir of his life experiences and, on top of that, he enjoys talking about film and the process of writing. |

"Family History Interviews" with Mike Wolpert | Thursday, December 11th (6:30 - 8:30 PM): Capture the life stories, recollections and wisdom from family Elders, your or others. From what questions to ask, simple but effective recording setups and how to help your subject feels comfortable. You’ll come away from this workshop ready to capture history. Mike Wolpert has spent an entire career in and around media, as a longtime ad man well versed in telling stories for business. Mike discovered the power of family history interviews as he interviewed his own father, capturing his own family stories and then doing the same for friend to the point where this is now mostly what he films, because “TikToks may be amusing, but nothing is more satisfying, illuminating and emotional than capturing and living your own family story.” |
