Nonagenarian Helen Breger fled as a young girl with her family from Vienna in 1938 shortly after the Nazi anschluss, or annexation of Austria. She now returns with her two adult daughters.

What sort of welcome awaits them there after 74 years? Is reconciliation possible after such historical and personal family trauma? Can some spiritual truth be gleaned from going back to the city of Helen's birth? Filmmaker Michelle Shelfer records the unexpected journey, intertwining Helen's family history with the laughter and tears of their present day encounters.
