Malcolm Pinson Art Gallery Exhibit @ CMCM (Friday, March 14th @ 6:00 PM)

Malcolm Pinson is an artist from Petaluma, CA, who’s specializes in painting cartoons, creating digital art and animations. Growing up in an artist household, Malcolm was immersed in creativity from an early age, with his father teaching him the art of airbrushing as a teenager, a skill that continues to use til this day. Over the years, Malcolm has expanded his artistic horizons, venturing into the world of digital art and animation. Recently he has been challenging himself with acrylic paints and traditional paintbrushes as opposed to paint pens, adding a new layer of depth and texture to his already dynamic creations.

This exhibit showcases a selection of his favorite pieces from the past five years, from airbrush to acrylics on canvas, as well as digitally drawn animations. Malcolm intentionally highlights black characters in a positive and uplifting light throughout his work, aiming to bring a sense of Black joy and celebration to his paintings. By highlighting moments of happiness and strength, he seeks to counter the often-overlooked narratives surrounding the Black community, offering a refreshing and empowering perspective through his art. Each piece reflects his love for bold colors, playful designs, and artwork that brings life to any space. Malcolm is bringing everything but The Kitchen Sink!

Refreshments will be available. Fresh organic juice will be available at the event, provided by Raw Miracle, a Black-owned business based in Sonoma County. Come out to the exhibit for the full experience!
