Anycast Multi-Camera Field Shoots
Learn how to use the Sony Anycast System to shoot multi-camera coverage of an on-location event. This hands-on workshop will include an overview of the Sony PD-170 camera and Sony Anycast System, set-up of equipment, crew communications, and troubleshooting tips. Instruction will be two-fold, 1) technical considerations for video and audio set-ups and situations 2) the operational responsibilities of the director, from basic cues and commands to camera operators, and common techniques in live-edit switching. In the last session of the workshop, students will execute a practice shoot where they will set up all equipment, cover a practice event, and properly break down and pack up all equipment.
This is a very technical workshop. Users should be knowledgeable on the basic aspects of audio and video cabling and troubleshooting. Successful completion of this course will certify you to check out CMCM’s Sony Anycast System for 48-72 hours at a time per event. You must attend all three sessions to become certified.
Course Requirements: Certification in Basic Field Camera Production, Basic Studio Production, and Introduction to Final Cut Pro X Editing.
