Support Marin TV's Youth Media Efforts
Every year Marin TV works with numerous students and organizations on a variety of media projects. Our goal is to make this effort a permanent part of our work with more staff dedicated to youth media education and development. You can help us achieve this goal by making a donation below.
Marin TV offers students hands on training, access to the latest media production equipment, and a means of distribution back to the communities of Marin via cable TV and the internet. Our students learn every aspect of television production and gain valuable media literacy skills in the process. Developing critical media skills is essential at a time when fact and fiction blur all too easily in the mainstream and social media to which we’re exposed.
Through our Marin Media Corps we offer students production training and then place them in professional production situations covering civic events for the Marin TV channels. Our Summer Sports program affords real world production training as the students work in teams to provide live television coverage of the San Rafael Pacifics baseball games. In numerous partnerships, such as the Bioneers, we work with youth on project-based learning through media production. Help us continue to expand these projects and more today!
