Why do you want to serve on the CMCM Board of Directors?

I believe my public relations skills will be an asset to the CMCM Board. Also, recruitment is definitely needed if CMCM is to continue serving the Marin public. On other boards I’ve been able to collaborate on different tasks/jobs and keep the group focused.

What relevant experience do you bring to this board position?

After graduating from C.O.M. with an AA in Communications I continued to work with the students and was able to finish the upgrade of the Video and Audio Equipment. I have helped promote the free classes offered by the Living History Centre for grade school students. At C.O.M. I helped with promo for the “Experimental Studies Program” and aided Emeritus (Seniors) Students to form and continue their stand-alone program. I have worked with other Bds. to promote and recruit members and have led many workshops and classes requiring knowledge of P.R. and outreach.

What is your vision for CMCM and how will you achieve it?

I am eager to see CMCM expand and continue the wonderful programs and classes now offered. In the future we could integrate with other non-profits to be even more helpful and responsive to the needs of the local community.
