The Lecture Series seeks to promote constructive change in our community and its organizations by bringing to Dominican University of California some of the country’s leading figures from the world of politics, entertainment, academia, and literature.

Al Gore, Madelaine Albright, Nancy Pelosy, Dave Eggers, Ralph Nader, Marian Wright Edelman, Bill McKibbon and Dr. Atul Gawande, among many, have spoken at our Lecture Series.

The Institute for Leadership Studies presents: Anne Wilson - Advancing the Common Good: Seizing Opportunities for Positive Change. Monday, February 25, 2008. Each of us can play a role in shaping our community as a place of opportunity for all. Drawing upon examples from Marin County, Wilson will examine how specific community challenges are being addressed through innovative partnerships and collaborations.

Anne Wilson has been working to advance the common good in the Bay Area for nearly three decades. Since 2000, she has served as the first female CEO of United Way of the Bay Area, a leading nonprofit organization that works to ensure young people are healthy and ready for adulthood, that working families attain financial stability and communities are strong and resilient.
