Fifty years ago this weekend in 1967, the first (and only) Monterey International Pop Festival took place, ushering a new era of rock ‘n’ roll and launching the careers of Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Otis Redding adn many more. D.A. Pennebaker was there to capture it all.
