CMCM is not able to accept volunteers regularly for the center, but we do have an academic internship program for students.

Board Information

The Community Media Center of Marin is a non-profit organization governed by a 16-person Board of Directors. The Board consists of five member elected seats, eight designated seats by outside agencies and organizations and three seats appointed by the sitting board. The Board meets in open meetings on the fourth Thursday, of each month at 4:00pm at CMCM. Below are documents related to CMCM Organizational Policy and Governance.

Michael Eisenmenger, Executive Director

Michael worked for years as a community media advocate and producer with many NYC organizations including Paper Tiger TV, Deep Dish TV, Manhattan Neighborhood Network and the Independent Media Centers (IMC). He coordinated the satellite programming for the IMC in Seattle during the WTO and for later mass protests in Washington DC and Mexico. Prior to that, he taught for 8 years as an assistant professor at Rutgers University teaching media and design.

Michael also co-founded Media Jumpstart in 2000, a non-profit organization providing web, database and technical assistance to the NYC progressive non-profit community. Michael later helped launch and directed the daily news program Grit TV with Laura Flanders in 2008. Michael is currently the executive director of the Community Media Center of Marin which has been in operation since 2009.

Spend some time to get familiar with our new web site. Sign-up and pay for membership, classes, reserve equipment and watch Marin TV live and "On Demand". If you are a current member you were recently sent an email with log-in activation information, if you didn't activate your account in the specified time period or have problems logging in, email info@cmcm.tv for new log-in information (please don't create a new account). Site Log-in accounts are limited to members certified in equipment use and that need to make reservations for equipment.

Strengthen community media in Marin. How?

Become a Producer:
Bring your own pre-produced program to CMCM -- or sponsor one -- for cablecast on Marin TV's Community Channel 26. No fees are required to air programs. Simply download a Playback Application and Statement of Compliance (PDF), and bring the completed forms into CMCM with your DVD or Quicktime Movie file. Producers may submit programming as a one-time special or as weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly series.

Become a Member:
Annual membership fees are only $35 for Individuals, $25 for Seniors and Students; $75 or $150 for non-profit Organizations. Members can attend low-cost workshops, become certified to use CMCM equipment and facilities, and produce programs for Marin TV -- for free! Help support the work of CMCM.
