Youth Media Academy

Join CMCM to sign up for the Media Academy and receive professional-quality production training available to youth in Marin County and throughout the Bay Area. As a Media Academy member, every student will learn audio & video production, which includes camera operation, studio production, and video editing workshops. This unique program will be filled with fun activities engaging participants in a cohesive and entertaining educational experience. This is a wonderful hands-on opportunity for any student to become completely immersed in digital media production.

Prerequisite: CMCM Orientation and Media Academy Membership.

Omid Shamsapour is the Director of Education & Production here at the Community Media Center of Marin. He has had a lifelong passion for music, film, sports, and entertainment.

Omid graduated with a Masters of Arts Degree in Sports Management from USF and a Bachelors of Science Degree in Business & Technology from Cal Poly covering business, technology, management, music, sports, and entertainment. He has also been involved in a number of short films, projects, and productions throughout the Bay Area.
