The Title of Your Marin TV Series: Cheese Theatre

In a nutshell, describe your CMCM series: We host old movies on Saturday nights. We air all genres of films. This is not a creature feature, though we do air monster movies now and then.

Where were you born and raised? Peoria, IL

If you attended college ... What was the name of the school? What was your major? University of Illinois.
Bachelor and Master of Architecture.

What is/was your occupation? How long have you been in this profession? Architect, when and if I can find work.
I graduated in 1981, came to the Bay Area directly, started my first job.

What inspired you to produce your own TV series? I was unemployed, staying up late on Saturday nights watching the creature features, including Saturday Fright Special on Marin TV. After some months I actually read the announcements, found out how cheap membership was, and attended an orientation.

What is your favorite part of TV production? I pretty much love it all.

Caravana 43 on Marin TV

Caravana 43 is a project developed with the purpose of bringing to the United States parents and classmates of the 43 Normalista students who disappeared in Iguala, Guerrero, Mexico on September 26, 2014. Three Caravanas will visit more than 40 cities from the US/Mexico border along the Pacific, Central, and Atlantic region states. Their main purpose is to provide an international forum for the parents who have lost their children to a government of systemic violence and impunity.

Marin TV was honored to cover several of the Caravana 43 Bay Area events and to host a conversation with two parents from Ayotzinapa, one sibling, and one surviving student of the 43 who vanished.

In a show of solidarity with other US cities such as Pomona, Austin, and San Francisco, the town of Fairfax and the Marin County Board of Supervisors passed resolutions in support of a full investigation into the disappearance.

All of the programs listed below will be broadcast in Spanish - English subtitle versions will be available soon.

Marin TV Goes Black in Observance of April 16

You may have noticed the Marin TV channels were black this morning. We could make up all sorts of excuses and snarky explanations, but in reality we had a big UPS unit fail which took down most of our equipment for several hours. We have since bypassed power and are up and running again - our apologies for any inconvenience!
