This two session workshop will certify you to produce HD multi-camera event coverage.

Get ready to head out into the field and direct all the action in this two-session workshop utilizing CMCM's new HD field switchers. Training includes switcher set-up, operation, and how to work together as a production crew.  A third session will be scheduled to try out your new skills and cover an actual live event. Prior experience with Sony X70 cameras and studio production recommended for this course.

Equipment includes Blackmagic ATEM switcher, two Blackmagic Hyperdeck recorders, Sony X70 HD cameras and wireless intercom.

Prerequisite: Certification in Basic Field Camera Production.  Strongly recommended: Certification in Basic Studio Production.

Dates: Fridays, April 21, 28 (3 - 6 PM) + Live event TBA.

After studying city planning and archaeology, Scott Calhoun turned to film production in 2008 and started as a production assistant for the Discovery Channel,  then became a TA for a film program in Colorado.  Scott has been teaching classes  at CMCM since 2010 and at Dominican University since 2012.

 As the Government and Education Manager, he now helps cities and schools in Marin to develop content for Channels 27 and 30.
