Smartphone & Tablet Moviemaking Made Easy

Join the video revolution! Use your smartphone or tablet to make quality movies on a shoestring budget.

With all the buzz about "Tangerine," the independent feature film shot with an iPhone, it seems only fitting that CMCM reprise Allen Bronstein's workshop "Smartphone & Tablet Moviemaking Made Easy."

This practical and entertaining four-part series covers everything you'll need to know to plan, shoot, and edit a movie -- including what apps and equipment will be most helpful -- using your smartphone or tablet. You will learn how to use simple techniques for composing pictures like a pro; use inexpensive yet powerful video apps and lenses; record professional-quality sound; use tools and techniques for moving the camera; edit on a smartphone or tablet; upload your videos to YouTube and Facebook.

Phones and tablets attendees may use for this workshop are:

  • iPhone (any model)
  • Samsung Galaxy S3 or later phone
  • Nokia 1020
